I’ve moved to a TN! Otherwise known as a traveler’s notebook! A journal. It’s something I’ve been considering doing for a while now.
The traveler’s notebook allows me to have booklet inserts AND my official bullet journal all together, in one place. I have a booklet for creating. My doodles and hand lettering go in here. I have a booklet for my business and one for accounts. It’s fantastic having everything all in one place and its so easy to take inserts out or switch them up.
If you would like me do a blog/video on the traveler’s notebook just let me know in the comments below 🙂
So, May was a bit of a washout for me. I awoke on the 7th with a trapped nerve. The pain was unbelievably excruciatingly painful! I was literally in bed, a complete, useless human being for a good week. After I got in control of the pain, I was able to start doing a little bit. I’m glad that I’m feeling much better now but May in general was a bit of a washout!
However… when I was making this blog/video I realized, looking in my bullet journal, that actually it wasn’t a completely wasted month after all. For my gratitude log reminded me of all the blessings in my life, like my family who loved and looked after me while I was unwell. My habit tracker, (although many habits were scored out during my first week of pain) quickly picked up and it wasn’t until I flipped through my May tracker spread that I realized just how quickly I did begin to recover.
I have a few pictures here of May & June but my YouTube video shows all my spreads. If you’d like to see that then please click here.
My bullet journal has been a joy. One that has kept me going and made me realize that actually, all is not as bad as it may seem 🙂
Here are some of my spreads for May
Yeah… the grey sections in my mood mandala were ill/ugh days! But it wasn’t too long before I started having happy ones and even productive ones! The mood mandala is not quite finished yet but sometime when I’m sitting colouring with my wee girl I’ll come in and finish it off 🙂
The picture on the right is a quarterly memories page. So memories from April to June 🙂 It reminds me of all the good things in these last couple of months. Memories to record and look back on and treasure 🙂
I even got my bullet journal all set up for June! June is such a busy month from me. I mean I have 3 kids… 17, 13 & 7 years old. At this time of year there are always school trips, sports days… ah, the list goes on and on! So I really wanted to keep June’s spreads nice and simple…
Here we see my “Hello June” page which is side by side by my gratitude journal. Then I have an example of a weekly spread. This layout really works for me. I can see the things I need to get done this week, the things that I need to think about that are coming up next week, anything I need to purchase, our meals for the week and all my tasks and appointments.
I also love to put something special in the top left corner. Something pertaining to that week. It could be an inspirational quote, a picture, a doodle… this is what I love about bullet journalling… its so flexible!
I’m no artist but I like my pages looking nice and attractive like the next person 🙂 And just because I’m not particularly artistic, doesn’t mean I can’t try! 🙂 This month I’ve let some nice patterned paper and some washi tape do all the work for me 🙂
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post. Perhaps it gave you some inspiration? I’d love to see your spreads too! Please connect with me. I’m on Facebook, twitter, Instagram & linkedin but my Facebook page is where I feel most at home… ooh! and don’t forget YouTube! 🙂
Take care and improve your health & well being 🙂
